Vicky Phelan Campaign & Portrait Tour
The theme of the tour is creating ‘Awareness & Change’ which is the essence of Vicky’s legacy and what she fought so hard for. Life long friend & owner of the Portrait David Brennan will bring you through Vicky’s life story and her fight for justice against the legal might of the State while fighting the biggest fight of her life, to stay alive.
Friday 22nd September
Guest speakers and cancer awareness advocates, Sarah Nally & John Wall will be accompanied by our Panel Guests, Cian O’Carroll , Róisin Ni Chadhla and 221+ Members Lorraine Walsh and Caoimhe O’Neill-Forde.
Discussions and insights into what the 221+ women and their families are going through, how they found out they had vital information withheld from them and what changes have been put in place to prevent this from happening again and you will hear about what still remains unfinished. You will also hear how Vicky has inspired people to make change happen and how a 14 year old girl from Waterford was inspired to create change in the health services already.
Ollie Turner Galway Bay FM will take up the charge of Panel Discussion Moderator and MC the event. Starts 7pm Sharp.
Saturday 23rd September
Doors will be open at 10.30am until 1pm. David Brennan will give a talk on Vicky and unveil the portrait at 11am.
