Last weekend we were honored to work with Gort Cancer Support and host on their behalf the Vicky Phelan Campaign and Portrait Tour as it made its first visit to the West of Ireland.
There was a great turnout on the night as David Brennan, lifelong friend and portrait owner, gave a talk on the inspirational life of Vicky Phelan, her fight for better healthcare for the women of Ireland, and the meaning behind the 3 sections of the portrait that represents her life.
We also heard from guest speakers and cancer awareness advocates, Sarah Nally, John Wall and Róisin Ni Chadhla who were accompanied by 221+ Members Lorraine Walsh and Caoimhe O`Neill-Forde with the moderator & MC for the event Ollie Turner of Galway Bay FM
A huge thank you to Gort Cancer Support and the Vicky Phelan Campaign & Portrait Tour for bringing this event to Gort, as the theme of creating " Awareness & Change" which is the essence of Vicky`s legacy and what she fought so hard for is continued.
