Here's just a few testimonials about the Lady Gregory Hotel:
Couldn't Have Been Any Better
Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our recent stay in the Lady Gregory Hotel, an amazing building and a particular note of thanks to the CBeech restaurant, one of the most enjoyable meals we have had in a long time, great food great staff and an amazing room! Couldn't have been any better. Karen Duffy
What a Hotel!
Myself and my Wife stay at this hotel on a regular basis and the more we stay the better it get. The staff are just so friendly and helpful always. Saturday night in the bar can be very good if your in nice soft music. So keep up the good work lads. Charlie H
Warm welcoming feel from the word 'go'. Friendly and helpful staff, special mention for Fiona, Brian and Marco, and the lovely breakfast lady whose name we have forgotten. Even found me a needle and thread for emergency! Spotlessly clean and fab food. Easy to find and plenty safe parking. Ideal for visiting around the mid west of Ireland.
Couldn't Have Asked for More
I stayed here as a babysitter to the baby daughter of the bride and groom of a wedding downstairs. The wedding took place on a Saturday and I had had my 4 wisdom teeth removed the previous Thursday. When we first arrived, baby was very hungry so I asked a member of staff for a baby bowl and it was brought out to me in mere minutes by the manager. By the time everyone was being seated for the meal, baby and I were becoming cranky (her from being tired and myself from being in pain). I decided to retire to the room having not eaten anything because baby would not settle at all. About 15 minutes later I got a very quiet knock on the door - the groom had asked someone to be sent up to me to fetch me something to eat. He was so so lovely and I joked that I was in desperate need of painkillers and any kind of soft food he could get me as I wasn't able to chew. What seemed like no time at all he was back with soup and some jelly and ice-cream! Super impressed! The following morning, myself and baby went down for breakfast and were completely looked after - probably because we were the only ones awake! But the service was 2nd to none!
Fantastic Fun - Lovely Place
I stayed for the All Ireland Open Festival of Dance - an amazing weekend. The staff in the hotel were excellent. Check-in was quick and friendly, the food during the weekend was tasty, the rooms were clean and spacious, the social aspect was fantastic and I met a load of lovely people. The event was well organised and definitely worth going back to. There's also the beautiful Coole Park not too far away. The ballroom is one of the prettiest I get to see.

I Would Definitely Stay Here Again
We stayed here to attend a wedding recently. On arrival the receptionist was lovely, and check in was very quick Our room was bright and spotless. We came down to the bar before dinner to have a drink. It was very busy as can be expected during a wedding but bar staff were quick and kept the bar absolutely spotless. We were sitting at a large table with people drinking and glasses were collected promptly and spills cleaned. Dinner was excellent too, the food was superb and staff, although extremely busy, couldn't do enough for us. There was plenty of staff on and the most important thing is they all knew what they were at. We were served quickly and everybody at our table was very happy with their meal. There were two vegetarians at our table and they had two choices and they commented on how lovely their meals were. I usually don’t eat a big breakfast in the morning, just tea and toast but the breakfast in the hotel the following morning was too tempting. There was such a huge selection, something for everyone, juices, fruits, pastries and the usual Irish breakfast - buffet style so you can help yourself. I am only sorry I didn’t bring gear for the leisure centre, my friends children loved it! All in all I would definitely stay here again and I would recommend it for anyone looking for a wedding venue. Olivia
A True Gem of a Hotel
We only stayed here for one night unfortunately, for what I thought would be an average, mediocre stay...........let me just say ...........I was WRONG. This hotel is a real find because of the attention to detail by all of the staff. Everyone was so friendly, the place was spotless, the decor in the bar and dining room really lovely. Only had a sandwich and breakfast but was really lovely. The owners and staff at this hotel obviously care very much about their customers and I overheard a lot of repeat guests back again, and I'm not surprised. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. Definitely worth a visit and well situated for sightseeing.
"We stayed for a weekend recently and would rate this hotel as very good. The rooms were big airey, clean comfortable. The room had more than adequate tea and coffee making. The ensuite was very good and well stocked. The staff were excellent and attentive from arrival to departure. We had a family dinner on the Saturday night for 13 people. The food was savoury and attention to service was not lacking. The leisure centre is a pleasure and was well used. The hotel is clean. There is no problem with parking. This was definite value for money." Ann,

A Little bit of Heaven
"My wife and I are just back from our second break at the Lady Gregory. We do a good few hotel breaks during the winter months we try to do at least 1 per fortnight and travel all over the country to do so. The Lady Gregory is definitely one of our favourites after this visit. We were given a lovely room on the second floor and while the view was nothing to write home about it was non the less a nice area to relax in with large bathroom that came with separate bath and shower. This suited me perfectly being not so mobile. The large double bed was very comfortable and on request extra pillows were provided promptly, the food in the hotel is quiet Lucius and mouth watering and is served promptly by the most wonderful staff we have ever encountered. We were only there for 2 nights but the staff are so friendly we came away feeling as though we had known them for years and on first name terms. The bar man we met was Brian he served us in the evening in the bar with food and drinks, he is a delight to encounter and very obliging. We returned from a day out in Galway on our second day late in the evening and the menu was set for the evening. We did not really want anything from this menu and I enquired if perhaps there might be anything left over from the lunch menu even cold meats would have been nice, he went to the kitchen and after a short period of time returned with 2 plates of Bacon and Cabbage and potato. That was my day complete it was no problem to him to go the extra mile to ensure that guests were happy during their visit to the hotel. The waiting staff in the mornings were two of the nicest girls we have ever encountered in any hotel we have stayed in. Their attitude towards the guests is so refreshing to encounter, they are bright and bubbly and nothing is to much trouble for them to do. Like Brian they have no problem going the extra mile for the guests of the hotel. Breeda and Shiela thank you both so much for making our stay so enjoyable and relaxing. The staff of the hotel are great ambassadors for the Hotel Industry in Ireland, if only it was the same in all hotels guests would feel at home no matter where they were staying. Thank you from both of us for a very pleasant stay we will definitely be coming back." James
Thank You Lady Gregroy Hotel
"We just had a family reunion in Gort, Ireland, and 21 family from the U.S. stayed at the Lady Gregory. The staff was very friendly and attentive to each guest. The rooms were clean and all were ready when we arrived. The food in the pub and the restaurant was very tasteful and reasonably priced. The traditional Irish music in the pub made for enjoyable late night relaxation. I was the coordinator of the lodging for the reunion and everyone from the U.S. were very impressed and satisfied with the Lady Gregory!!"
